NEW SCHOOL YEAR

The new school year is approaching faster than a melting snow cone in August! All teachers, both novice and experienced, are thinking about the new school year and all the things that need to be done. Before you start your “to do” list, take a few minutes to think about your intentions. Get clear about your purpose and what you want to accomplish this school year. What are your intentions professionally? What are your intentions for your students? Be sure to state your intentions in the positive and write them down.
Knowing your intentions will keep you grounded throughout those hectic first few days and weeks of school. So, when you’re feeling overwhelmed and overloaded with new information, new curriculum, new strategies, meetings, and classroom setup, just take a deep breath and focus on your intentions. That will enable you to put everything into perspective and keep you energized.
